Cowfold Res maintained their 100% league record with a hard fought home win against a strong Ashington side.The visitors started strongly and went 1-0 up half way through the 1st half when their centre forward was allowed the freedom of Cowfold to stroll through and score. Cowfold then stepped up a gear and equalised 10 mins later when Bradley Carter was put through from a great ball by Chris Bellison to slot passed the keeper , Cowfold then missed a few good chances to go in front and the half ended 1-1. Once again the visitors started the half stronger and went in front again from the penalty spot after a needless challenge. Cowfold then finally took control of the game and Chris Bellison equalised after Graham Light hit the bar. Cowfold finally went in front with 20 mins to go when Ant Parsons free kick came back off the post for Mike Nash to score. The game was finally ended as a contest with around 10mins left when Bradley Carter was brought down in the box with the visitors goalkeeper sent off in the process. Ant Parsons stepped up to smash the spot kick in to the net to secure another 3 points to the Fold.
